ABOUT
Paul focuses his practice on the defense of personal injury, catastrophic loss, and property damage actions. He has been called upon by many of the nation’s largest insurers to handle coverage disputes and bad faith claims. In addition to being licensed in Ohio, he has been active in defending insurers in litigation throughout the United States.
Prior to joining Ankuda, Stadler & Moeller, Ltd., Paul represented insurers in coverage and bad faith litigation, focusing on commercial liability, professional liability, and directors & officers liability. Paul was successful in obtaining favorable decisions on multiple cases, including defending against a bad faith claim seeking over $2 million in damages. Paul has also served as in-house counsel for an Ohio insurance carrier, representing the carrier and its insureds in personal injury, wrongful death, property damage, subrogation, and foreclosure litigation. While attending law school, Paul gained further insurance experience working for the largest mortgage field services company in the United States. This background and experience provides Paul with a strong understanding of the needs and expectations of insurance carriers and their insureds when it comes to reporting requirements and litigation management.
Paul has written on insurance law and litigation for insurance and mortgage professionals. He is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and has served as a member of Kenyon College Outreach Program.
